How Community Welcome Works

Community Welcome is a structured way for local people and organisations to support newcomers like yourself. A group from your community works together to help with early settlement and local connection.

Currently, access to our Community Welcome offering is via limited projects, and it is not possible for you to self-refer.

Welcome Group

A welcome group is made up of local volunteers who support your social connection and help you become part of your new community.

Welcome Plan

A welcome plan is developed to provide easy access to local, personalised information and supports that are relevant to you.

Towards Independence

Early support focuses on helping you settle into daily life. Over time, the focus shifts towards building independence and strengthening connections within your new community.
