A new Support Bank for community sponsorship groups is now available on The Open Community website, which provides groups with quick, straightforward access to a full range of training materials and resources for the sponsorship journey.
The portal is divided into three different areas – ‘Getting Started’, ‘Planning for Arrival’, and ‘Welcoming’ to match each part of the sponsorship process. Alongside key training and support resources, each area also includes guidance documents, checklists and tips for each stage.
Conor Platt, Project Coordinator for The Open Community, said: “We developed the Support Bank to ensure groups have everything they need in one place, for each step in welcoming a family or individual to resettle through community sponsorship. The portal will also be updated as new resources are developed. We’re delighted to make it available now as part of our ongoing support to sponsorship groups and resettled families and individuals.”
